Biography
My full name is Federico Martina; I was born in Córdoba, Argentina, in January 3rd 1979. I studied Geology at Universidad Nacional de Córdoba, where I got my degree in February 2004. Now I am a postgraduate student at the same university and fellow of CONICET supervised by Dr. Ricardo Astini and Dr. Betriz Coira. My research area is: “Geology and paloegeographic evolution of the northern boundary of the Precordillera Argentina and its relationship with neighboring areas”.
Research Interest
Explosive volcanism and volcaniclastic rocks; sedimentology and geochemistry of volcanic settings, with emphasis on the volcanic effects on sedimentation, accommodation and basin evolution. The long-term objective is to comprehend the mechanical and thermodynamical influence of volcanic arc and retroarc systems on crustal evolution and sedimentary systems development.
