Biography
I was born in Monte Maíz in May 18th 1977. At present I am established in Carlos Paz, Córdoba, Argentina. I became Geologist in 2002 with a degree from the Facultad de Ciencias Exactas, Físicas y Naturales of the Universidad Nacional de Córdoba. I finished my PhD in Geological Sciences at Universidad Nacional de Córdoba in 2006 and a Post-Doc in 2008. Both were supported by fellowships of CONICET (National Council of Scientific and Technical Researches). At present I am an Assistant Researcher of CONICET and I am working with the evaluation of post-depositional mineral transformations in clastic sequences and their use in the reconstruction of burial trajectories.
Research Interest
Diagenesis and low-grade metamorphism in clastic sequences. Reconstruction of burial trajectories in ancient and recent orogens. Clay mineralogy. Crystallochemical indexes. X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning and transmission electron microscope (SEM and TEM) techniques.
