Biography
Born in Alta Gracia, Córdoba, December 4th, 1963. Degree in Geology from the Universidad Nacional de Córdoba & Ph.D. from the Universidad Nacional de Salta, on the sedimentary environments, evolution and stratigraphy of a mixed carbonate-siliciclastic paleogene lacustrine succession in northwest Argentina. Collaboration in various international projects and programs. Advisor of several Ph.D. students at the Ph.D. program of the Universidad de Salta. Since 2009, Independent Researcher staff at CONICET (National Research Council). Author and coauthor on more than 20 papers in international Journals.

Research Interests
I am specialized in sedimentology of clastic and carbonate lacustrine and alluvial successions and sequence stratighaphy. The main works were carried out in the Cretaceous-Tertiary Salta Group in the Andes of northwest Argentina. Also stratigraphic and paleogeographic studies in the Upper Paleozoic Tarija basin in Subandean ranges of Bolivia and Argentina looking at glacial sedimentary records. At present day my main interest is focused on the reconstruction of the Paleogene foreland basin in the northwest of Argentina, based on the analysis of the stratigraphy and sedimentology (provenance, geochemical and clay mineralogy).
